Will someone lend me some experience here? I know of quite a few members on this site have done this.

I tried to do the Home Depot lip kit today. I used the 3" rubber weather stripping for garage doors, cut it down into something like triangles along the first line. It came out like crap. I pulled it off after looking at it for 2 minutes, then threw it away.

I could use some help here. What type of weather stripping did you use? How did you mount it? Can I get a picture of your setup?

Correct me if i'm wrong, but it's not weather stripping.

In all the pics i've seen here it looks like the garden lining, the stuff you'd stick in the ground around a plant/flower bed.
I was looking at some of it in Home Depot the other day, in the gardening section.

yeah.. its diamond lok paver edging... its about the easiest thing you can do to your car exterior wise.. you will need to locate a 15' strip for the front lip, they dont sell it at HD or lowes..

It easily bolts on to the bottom of the bumper using toggle bolts. we did Caj's lip in about 30min including removal of bumper and reinstall.

ON caj's car

Man that hood is hoooot... (not your socks, sorry)

Any idea if this would look good on a black car? Seems like black on black might clash or something. I love the black on blue, but I haven't seen it done on a black one yet, so I wasn't sure.

Yeah, if you wouldn't mind taking a pic, that'd be awesome.

I like your scoote hood too, but that STI scoop is just flat out amazing.
