anyone who lives in an area with not so well-lit roads...Buy these NOW! The freewayd here have NO street lights, they are only lit by the headlights from cars, so I NEED these.
Tibbychick, what intensity HID did you have? and did your McCulloch come with relay or did you use stock relay.

6000k. I was gonna first go with 12000 and then 8000, but this color is perfect. I wanted like a pure white with a slight purple tinge, and thats what it has. The last 6000k kit I had was the one from Evofusion and it wasnt as bright, and had more of a blueish tinge. This color now is perfect. I believe it did come with a relay. Everything is plug and play, I literally installed it in 10 minutes.
here's the guy I bought em from on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/6000K-McCul...1QQcmdZViewItem
he has every other temperature too for sale.

and better designed, id say. igniter and ballasts are built in together. that really is nice thing to have when finding places to mount them, too.
the flickering could be caused by a bad ballast. on my ebay kit, one of the bulbs had a SLIGHT flicker to it on startup. figured out it was due to the ballast, and i got a new one to fix the problem.

$100 Each??? What brand??? So you mean $100 per setup?
Also guys, don't forget that Uneek is having a sale on his Halo HID kits thru October. Check the thread out in GB's.

Please don't quote the post above yours.
Thanks everybody for all the kind comments on the Halo kit. I really try hard to come through for you all.
I don't want to bash on McCulloch kits (cause I used to own one), but as someone mentioned earlier, the ballast and ignitor are separate components, and this is something common with older model HID kits. You'll notice that most vendors are now starting to offer the ballast/ignitor combo because technology and manufacturing costs have gotten to the point were it can now be offered at resonable prices. McCulloch is still a good brand, its just that it's age is starting to show.
