Ok, so my right head light is messed.
The bulb is fine, but you know the part that you clip into the headlight bulb? that part got fried i dunno how, its all burnt and melted, so it wont connect with the bulb properly.

i'm just wondering if i have to splice the wires and remove that connector or is there a part that i can just clip out and replace instead of cutting the wires.

and was also wondering if i install HID's, would i still have to replace that part thats burnt? or does the HID not use that part or uses its own?

the stock power source will still plug into the headlight housing w/ HID's, only the headlight bubl power will plug directly into HID bulb conector instead of stock bulb. so yes...

you have ebay bulbs dont you. higher wattage means birghter, but also means more heat.

trace the wires to before they were fried and usse that to tap into for the HID input 12v and you will be fine.

Wait until you get your HIDs.
When you get them, cut off that OEM connector, cut off the connector on the HIDs, and then splice each wire together, solder, and heat shrink. Just make sure you don't fvck anything up.

Good luck

well heres a pic i borrowed of patreezy..
this pic is the opposite end which i'm talking about... the part that plugs into this piece is fried and useless..
i know i can cut and splice the HID's together with it but i still want it to be able to disconnect and clip on and off easily, not soldered on... any other ideas?

If you want to be able to plug, then you need to utilize male and female connectors.
Cut the OEM and HID connectors, and use some of those blue male/female wire connectors to splice the wires together instead.

Either that, OR, you can keep the HID connectors how they are, and attempt to just fix your stock connectors. The only way I can see you achieving that though is to have another pair of stock headlights, chop ITS wiring harness and splice it on instead of your fried one.

I don't see why you'd go through all that trouble to be able to remove your HIDs..do you think you'll ever need to really?
