i have some emblems to stick on my car , i would like to stick them close to my botton door, anyway it doesnt matter whenre, i wnat to stick it on the car exterior smile.gif I just want to know if i can just come up to the surface, wash the dust off, and stick it, or should i take the wax completely off because it wont stick good enough?

Default hello!

Take the wax off first. Your emblems will stick better.
Wash your car with the blue car wash from Canadian Tire.
I believe it comes as Simoniz car wash.
That is what I use to take the remaining wax off my car before I put new wax on it. After that, if you want to wash your car and not take the wax off, use a product like Mothers Car wash. It won't remove the wax.

Hope this helps.

thanks dude that really does help smile.gif
but that Simoniz car wash is in a bottle right? its not an actual Car Wash machine that takes ALL of the wax off the care? cauz i just want to remove wax from tiny spot for emblem, not entire car u understand?

i got some turtle wax bug and tar remover, u think if i rub a few seconds/minutes to take wax out in one spot it will be ok? or do you really recommend that simoniz thing?

Yes, I mean the blue liquid that comes in a bottle.

That is the only Simoniz product I use.

Yes you can use the bug and tar remover on the one spot to remove the wax. As long as it doesn't leave any residue behind. You want a totally clean surface for the emblem to stick. If you have access to Acetone, put a tiny bit on a rag. Rub the spot where you want the emblem to go. Wipe the spot with water. Let dry completely. Then stick the emblems on.

either will work
wash the whole car with the blue car wash and save yourself the time.

wax the car in a week after the glue has set on the emblems and sticker.

you are welcome for the help, thats what we are here for.

I took the rear emblems off my car.

But I have installed emblems and stickers on other cars, many years ago at the car dealership I used to work at.
