My Tiburon's headlights are about 2 years old. They are OEM Hyundai and I can't see a dang thing when it's raining. I don't have a problem with road glare with my Dad's 2006 Dodge Dakota. I even use the Fog lights, but they don't help(Fog lights are useless, nevertheless). Could it be the OEM bulbs? Is there any bulbs on the market that can improve my visibility?

different bulbs will help, but we sit directly behind our head lights so glare is almost unavoidable. Thats why you dont notice it in your Dad's Dodge. You sit higher and look down onto the lit objects instead of facing them directly like when we sit in our tibs. My pop drivers big rigs and their visibility is awesome because they sit so far above their headlights. I am sure better bulbs will make a big difference, but we will always have a bit of road glare.

Get HIDs.

I'm getting a set after christmas, it's really worth the difference. I had the same problem last night; I had my low beams and foglights on, and there was barely even a glow on the ground in the rain. Had to wait for the lightning to really see where I was going.

HID's are well worth the money. Snab some and you wont be disappointed.

since hids take less energy draw, they tend to stay cool. Also they last longer than bulbs.

that is one of the reasons stock fogs are useless. With the way they are wired, they only come on with the headlights.. which destroys any value they already had. Typically, Fogs should come on independent of the headlights, this way you get the same effect that you get in the Dakota, you are above the axis of the light and therefore above the glare.

Of course stock fogs are useless anyway, so there is no point in rewiring them

No bulb will produce anything close to HID's. HID's are the best bang for the buck. You won't be disappointed or sad you blew that money on some lights because they're not just lights.

I couldn't see sh*t too, but I got Uneek's HID's and they totally fixed that problem. Now I can't drive any vehicle without them on because it feels wierd. Jay-M also has some I believe. Don't waste your money on bulbs.

Ah, about the foglights, they become completely useless if you only have HID's on the main lights. So I asked myself, "why not" and put some H3 HID's on the foglights. Amazing.

Yeah, but most of us aren't interested in spending $300 for fog light bulbs that have limited use.

If the road is pretty smooth and wet even with the brightest headlights it wont get lit up. This is because light is being reflected off of the water on the road and keeps going forward. The reason you can see the road when it is dry is because the light bounces off the grainy texture of the road and back to your car/eyes. The water on the road essentially turns the street into a mirror making it smooth.

Fogs can be turned on if you turn on parking lights. (without lowbeam)
