I went to the local performance shop today and I was looking to buy some xenon blue headlight bulbs for my 2000 Tib. From past experience, these guys have been known to be ignorant and not very intelligent. But this is the only place I can go around here without having to buy online or catalog. So anyways, I walk in and the first thing the guy says is "Tiburon, don't see many of them around here," and he chuckled. I didn't respond, just said I was looking for some H7 bulbs and he said that I actually needed 9006. I wasn't sure, but then he said he's sold 9006 to a couple guys with Tibs. I haven't tried taking out my bulbs yet, before I go through the hassle I thought that I would ask on here first. Is he right? I have a feeling that he isn't.

 

The 1st Gen Headlights are 9006 for the Low, and 9005 for the high.. Second Gen, Hyundai had to make some REALLY screwed up ****, and make the H1 the high, and the H7 the Lows.. Yet, they retain the H3 for the Foggers.. smile.gif

Go back and wait till it's really busy and when he see's you, say "I want to get those bulbs for my Tiburon." Wait for his response then LOUDLY respond, "you were WRONG,I need H7's like I said the first time."
