I have a pair of oxidated headlights in and outside the glass. I have already resurfaced the outside with 1500 grit sandpaper and polish. In order for me to get the inside of the headlight, i have to cook the lens off. would it be wise to also use 1500 grit sand paper to polish the inside of the lens? I'll post an image pointing the problem

It's not a clear image but in person it dosen't look very pretty..

well i went on and tried to sand it down on the inside by hand and polish after. so far no progress. The lens have like a shattered circle around the headlight itself. it bugs me because i am planning to install LEDs inside the lens and I want them to come out crystal clear. I may have to just buy new headlamps..

Meguiars plastX is good sh*t, it is just an ultra fine polish paste. You may as well try and fix the ones you have before you pay for new ones, right?
