Ever wonder why our low beams have such a defined line for a cutoff? And why there is that little "rise" about 3/4 of the way across?
here's why!
It appears that HMA installed a Cup in the headlights just like the stock foglights. The cup is removable from the stock foglights (first gen) and you will notice a BIG improvment. Unfortunatly/fortunatly, you CANNOT remove the cup from the headlights.

WOW.
I have spent SO MUCH TIME farking around with my headlights, trying to remove that rise in the far edge of the beam pattern. I thought that they were just not aligned correctly, or it was an unfortunate, unrepairable long-term result of a front-end collision I was in...
Two obvious questions present themselves:
1) Got quick instructions for how to remove this cup from the stock foglights?
2) Any way that this edge can be cut or dremeled out of the way?
I assume that this piece is a "feature" to prevent our projection beams from blinding oncoming traffic (which I do anyway with hyperwhites
)?

There is no way you could remove the cup from the stock headlights. Not without dismantleing them, which I have not been able to do as the front lens cover is plastic welded to the grey light housing.
For the fog lights, just remove the back cap. Remove the light bulb, and you will see 2 small screws at the top and bottom. Remove them and the CUP falls out. Re-install the screws, light bulb and cap. If I remember right, the screws are needed, do not leave them out.

What about just hacking the edge out from where it's visible? Don't take it apart, just cut the part that's getting in the way.
And I just scrolled down and over all the way on that image. Good cropping job on the picture! As soon as I saw denim, I was afraid that we were getting a follow-up to the shift-boot-related gratuitous Random crotch shot!
