What about removing the hatch altogether, cut it into a T-Top, and have a rear window like a Honda Del Sol. Then just making a cover for the trunk....

Common OZ. I am sure you tried to Chop something like that!
Sorry bro' but I've never had any desire to mess with the shape of the rear glass. Also, I haven't yet installed any photo editing/manipulation software on this laptop, so I've had no chopping ability for 2 months now.
All my stuff is on my old laptop that is being used by my ex as a desktop in my old house. Break-ups are a b i t c h sad.gif
Zman, that chop of yours makes the Tib look like an old Ford Taurus... to me anyway.
P.S.: I don't like the Ford Taurus wink1.gif

with the hatch up I was always reminded of Chevy's "el Camino"
HAHA, funny you should say this, I think so too. When I was moving 2 months ago (to cheap to rent a UHaul so I used the tib), I removed the entire hatch/glass/spoiler so I could pack as much stuff as I needed for less trips across town...
Whenever it was empty on the return trips it was the "tib camino" LOL.
I left it like that for a couple days (it was REALLy nice out, like 85-90degrees at midnight).
I put a bunch of comforters, an air matress, and pillows in the back with the seats folded down and lemme tell you, ooo weee! That makes for an AWESOME "back seat"
The "tib camino" will return...
....one day

I guess if I was in the mood for chopping something I would just do the entire roof, front to back. Try a photochop with you software and see how that looks I guess.

Personally , I wouldn't do it.
I don't really like how it looks now. I love the original back end of the car.
Plus , I think it will hurt the aerodynamics of the car. The angle between the roof and the rear window has a serious effect on the rear vacuum of a car.
But if you like it , go right ahead , its your car.
