Default Grommet screws stuck in front bumper cover

theres 4 (i think) screws with rubber grommets that are seriously fastened pathetically to their respective spots (on the bottom of my front bumper cover by some type of rust

I have a few questions

Are they there to fasten to the car body?

Are they used to fasten mud/debris deflector only?

How do I remove them?

The screw is so aged into its respective spot within the grommet and will not budge without ripping out the hole in the plastic bumper cover

Questions only because I have not put it on my car yet..

How do I remove them?

I've tried plastic heat gun to try to loosen the rubber grommet from around the rusted screw (the screw is covered in mud colored rust) so i can remove

Dremel a slot in the top of the screw, use a big mofo screwdriver. If that fails, you can always drill it out.

post pictures to help us understand what you're looking at.

Is it a push-screw?

Not the push screw the other kind, m8

its basically a sharp ended screw that goes through a rubber-plastic grommet that fits onto a plastic edge

Are you able to get a screwdriver bit into the screw at all? If so, try prying up on the screw head with a small flathead, chisel, or other flat piece of metal while you're unscrewing it. That may help.

Without pictures to help identify what you're talking about, it's hard to make any suggestions. My guess is they are only used to attach a plastic brush guard under the car or for the fender liners.

Could identify the hardware that fastens the front bumper cover of a 2001 tiburon to the fender?

The horizontal fastening only?

Are they large screws with nuts or some form of plastic retainer?

theres 4 holes in total (2x each side)

on the 2000-2001 Tiburon, a metal bracket with two bolts welded into it were used to attach the bumper to the fender. The clips you posted are probably for the wheel well liner.
