Lense is a standard Episoldial design... prone to cracking if it gets too hot due to the difference between overall volume to surface area... but I would not worry about that unless you are running 1k watt lamps

oh, I know what you are saying... it is not a flat back, but a concave design.. still a rather heavy lense though

OK, OK, I'LL TELL MY SECRET...........

It has nothing at all to do w/ the lense........ the inside of the housing........ one chrome reflector...pretty obvious...... but the other part (this would be the part thats AROUND THE BULB) is painted a dull gray....... go look at your projectors (during the day) they look dark don't they????? thats the paint on the inside.

chris is going to paint the inside of my KDM projecotr housing either w/ duplicast metal coat (silver) or a high temp white paint. I figure that alot of usable light isn't getting used b/c of this.

think about this :

whats going to actually reflect more light, gunmetal OR white or silver?????????

Now do you see why i said think efficiency????
