1. If you got bulbs with the nubs in a different pattern than the stock ones, you got the wrong bulbs. Check the numbers and cross reference them again, or look at the bulb size chart in the site FAQ.

2. I listed the correct LED flasher for our car in the LED "research" thread that DTN started.

I got it at Suetherland's. They sell it in 9' and 16' lengths for $7 and $11 respectively.

What is Suetherland's?

Can you tell me what it is? Brand name? What department, anything?

LOL

Thanks SOCKS. Btw, how the hell did you get those toggle bolts into your side skirts? I tried for like an hour, and there is nowhere near enough space in there mad.gif

I finally had to use theses little plastic things and I'm worried they will fall out.

Pretty sure the ones he did on the side skirts on Caj's car were done with the skirts OFF of the car.

O ya, almost forgot, this would be a good question for you(DTN). What is a good solid state flasher to use for LED blinker bulbs?

Use the one that RED ZMAN says.

I don't use one. I looked at them and I decided against using a solid state flasher because quite frankly, I like the different high speed flashing. You can get away with it using LEDs because they have a near instant off to on time. Also, the slow/fast flasher is used to tell you if a bulb is out. You can't get that ability to tell from inside if a lamp is blown because with a LED setup because it won't know how much amperage is being drawn by an LED. So, really, there's not a point to using a different flasher except to slow down your blinker indicators if you want to.

I was wondering about the corners. I guess it was just mine. I have removed those bulbs alot, but it was fixed by using dielectric compound, cleaning the contacts, and expanding the springs. If you do have a problem let me know so I can mark it down into the LED bulb thread.

I found them through DTNs LED thread. They are the wide angle wedge LEDs from superbrightleds.com

1. I used the bulb size chart and DTNs LED guide, but the nubs on one side are higher than the other. It's weird 02.gif

2. Thanks, I just went and found it fing02.gif

Lol, sorry. I thought Suetherland's was a big chain, but maybe it's just a local place.

I went to Home Depot, Lowes, a couple of other places, until I found this stuff at Suetherland's.

None of the other places had it.

Unfortunately, the picture I posted is the only thing that came with the strip besides some cheap nails.

I found it next to the door weather-stripping and garage door trim.

It's a vinyl material btw.

Did you purchase the 1157s from superbright LEDs or just the others? I never had that issue. Return them. SuperbrightLEDs.com has a 1 year return policy.

/\/\/\ I got all my brake light bulbs from superbrightleds. Thanks for the heads up man, I'll make sure to call them tomorrow smile.gif

I also just got this baby wired up, it provides much better illumination than I thought it would.

That looks very functional also. I don't know if I'd use those on my car, but I'd like something similar. Some kind of broad angle light for my hood so I can work on my car even after dark.
