I'm removing my front bumper. Anybody know how exactly to take these little plastic screws out? They are being a major pain in the ass.

*DON'T DOUBLE POST*

Anybody????????? I've got the car in my garage right now with the corners already removed. There's no way to screw these things off since they just have a flat head.

Can you take them out a little? Use a flat head screw driver and just pop them out if you can.

One of my friends had this problem with his Talon. He just cut them with a box cutter.

If you are going to re-install the front bumper, I might not recommend this. However, if you are putting a kit on, just cut the suckers off!!

They are basically vinyl rivets. You can dremel it out if you need to and just buy new ones at Advanced Auto or a local auto supply...they are really cheap. They work like a wall molly basically, the outer piece goes in then the screw pushes it out to hold the piece in place. (if that makes sense)

What is your purpose for removing the front bumper? Are the screws you can't get out black plastic things? You might be able to pop them out by putting a flat head under the head of the screw.

Edit: Voidd and I are talking about the same thing. I just drilled into them with a drill and that helped get 'em out. lol
Popping them out might save them, but you might lose a few. Where are they located on the bumper?

Nevermind guys, I talked to my friend (he is a mechanic) and he told me I need a special tool to take off the little screws. I've already forgotten the name of it, but its like plyers (s/p) but they are flat, and you just slide them under there and pop it up. No need for drilling or anything of the sort. Thanks for the help anyways though.
