Anyone heard of them? They make a kit very similar to the Veilside one, and would only be like $900 shipped to me. So anyone have positive/negative opinions of them? Thanks.

 

It's not a real Veilside kit. It's a fake knock off kit which means a few things:

- The quality and fitment will not be up to par. You'll most likely end up spending more money just to have the kit fit your car and look good, then to actually buy a real veilside kit.

- Supporting company's that make knock off's is not good. Not only can the company get in trouble for selling fake copyrighted kits, but you yourself could get into trouble as well.

- You'll get more props at car shows and in the import community all together by having a REAL kit instead of somethig that's fake.

Some people say it's perfectly fine to buy knock off's, while others like myself say it's very bad to do. You take a chance, and if you don't care about what the quality is like, or what the final results of owning a fake kit are, then go for it and good luck.

 

I don't like copy cats. but with this vielside knockoff I totally support it. Just because Veilside is an over priced piece of crap. Now if it was urthane, AWESOME but to pay soooooo much money for fiberglass (WHICH CRACKS EASILY) is unheard of. Just I would be really mad if I paid sooooooo much for a kit that cracked, if I paid less I wouldn't be as mad

 

Reason number one why that is true - fake kits.

 

No! If Veilside has a resonable price there wouldn't be a need for fake kits!

 

Their priced that way because they're unique and very high quality. Think about it this way:

Look how much a REAL lamborghini is. Why are they so expensive? Well, I shouldn't have to answer that.

Now look at all the Lambo kit cars that you can buy for a 1/4 of the price of a real lamborghini. Are they same? No....they might look like an original, but when it comes down it, they're just cheap fake knock off's that don't make any sense of owning unless you don't care about QUALITY. rolleyes.gif

The Great thing about life is you got "OPTIONS" with the lambo kit cars...sure it's not a Lambo but if someone wants the LOOKS of the car but doesn't need a V12 under the hood then it's great that they can get what they want. Maybe someone doesn't need all the unnessary HP. And the VEILSIDE KIT is not HIGH QUAILITY, like I said before fiberglass is fiberglass! Either way it will crack! I agree to a point that the Vielside kit is unique. But they've used the same style kit for every car for years now. They should switch up there design a bit. And the quote about don't fake it if you can't afford it. I personally think that ITS MY CAR. WHATEVER I DO TO MY CAR is to make MEEEEEEEEE happy, so if paying less for something just so I can have it and it makes me happy then so be it! As long as I like it. HONESTLY, it's just pure stupidity to buy a real vielside kit when you can buy the exact same thing for much cheaper. It's not like Vielside adds 3 extra HP.

 

Ru-E...ok...lets use a different example. If you were an artist that sold your own original works of art, and then someone else created the same exact pieces of work, but sold them at alot lower cost and lower quality, taking business away from you, is that ok?

According to you, it would be okay since the person that bought the cheaper, less quality piece of art is buying it to make themselves happy...even though it took money and customers away from you.

And about what you said fiberglass is fiberglass, and that the VS kit is not high quality....got news for ya bro...there's a HUGE difference between fiberglass kits. One company may only use a few thin layers of fiberglass while others will use alot of layers. What's the difference? Thin layered fiberglass kits will crack, and chip alot easier. Also, the higher quality kits will usually have a better quality primer or gel coat on the fiberglass. And the BIG difference between a cheap knock off and an original kit, is the fact that the cheap kits come out of a basic and simple mold. They won't fit as good as an original kit because there was more R & D that went into the original to make sure that it fits really good.
