I am going to fix the body on my car by myself. Is Bondo all that bad as a body filler? What do you suggest, what is the price per gallon as well?

Also! What kind of paint should I buy, and again, how much and where can I get it. How much should I need for my tib?

thanks guys

What do you mean "fix" your body, because different areas require different things. Bondo isnt expensive really, but probably not the only thing you'll need. Do you have pics of what your trying to fix?

For paint, go to your body shop. I hope your not trying to this yourself lol. But if your just buying everything before hand to save some cash Id try expresspaint, I know they have good prices. I also like PPG too fing02.gif

I'm going to hava someone with experience helping me, but I am going to prep my whole car for paint. So filling my key mark, sanding down rust and clear chips, sanding my key mark, and basically making it so IF I get it painted somewhere (probably Maaco) it will be prepped good and ready.

i coulda sworn i heard you say maaco? please take that back... they don't do a very good job, and for their two stage paint job, its not that cheap.. i was quoted like 1600$ for a two stage paint job, and i had to prep. the car... and from what i have seen, they do OK work, but have alot of orange peel.

get it done at a real body shop, and pay the extra 600-700$ to get it done right.
