Default EVO 5 Spoiler?

Will the EVO 5 spoiler fit the 2k model tibby or is it 97-99 only?

I've yet to find a good spoiler for the 2k tibs, the EVO 6 looks like it sits too high off of the car for me, and I'm still trying to figure out if I like the Kombat Spoiler or not. And I don't want to go with a GT spoiler.

I've tried to get that question answered numerous times...no one seems to know... I totally agree though. The evo 5 spoiler looks so much better than the 6.

My personal guess is that if you have enough money anything is possible.

What I want to know is does it mount in same holes as the factory one? Or do you have to fill those holes then drill new ones?

I've heard that question asked and eanswered many times. I would post up the answer if I could find it but it goes something like this: All you have to do is change the angle of the pillars that it mounts on. It will fit the factory holes then. Apparently yes it will fit but it's not a direct bolt on.

Is that the same for the Shark spoiler, because to me in the pictures I've seen the Shark spoiler and the Kombat spoiler don't look the same as some have said, and I mean besides the middle support.

How hard and would it cost major $$$ to be able to alter the spoiler like that?

I'm pretty sure the shark spooiler you have to remove the center mount because there is no way that can be bolted up. Then I think you can do the same with that as the Evo. Just alter the angle. I'm not sure all that is involved in doing this so I can't figure on a price. If it needs to be cut or refiberglassed your prob lookin a few hundred honestly. But if all you need is to shove some foam under it that would be five bucks. I wish I knew more to help you on this but your best bet is to find out from Random or someone. Just keep posting the thread someone will read it. Hope I helped a little.

Hey 1FSTSHRK did the evo6 spoiler mount directly on? Or did you have to make any modifications to it?

It bolted right on. The only thing I needed to do was widen one of the holes on the driver side of the trunk because the holes didn't make a perfect fit but it was still a direct bolt on. Nothin that a dremel couldn't fix.
