Default Do I need to upgrade my wiring if I use a 55watt HID kit?

Most HID kits come in 35 watt. If I go to a 55, will that effect the wiring or electrical system any? Ive heard horror stories where people have gone to a higher wattage bulb or set up and fires started or wires melted. Just want to cover all my bases.

Also, does anyone have any pics that show the difference between a 35 watt 8000K HID kit and a 55 watt? Thanks.

Engineers tend to build wiring 20% over expected max. I don't know the wattage of the stock bulbs.

If you're worried about it, just run them with a relay. The only thing stock wire will be used for then is on/off.
