well i plan to finish all the light stuff up front for march so i gota a couple questions on angel eyes, yes i did search, yes theres a crap load, and no i didnt find a answer smile.gif

sharkracings AE's

Flyryde's AE's

and kspec

(if someone knows how to make these thumnails that would be great >.< )

ok... well imo, the ones from sharkracing are the ones i want... bad lol unfortunatly they dont sell there rings individually, you can only buy the entire headlight assembly (way more money they i want to put into AE's)

flyryde sells the individual rings with everything you need, but im not sure if its just the picture or are they actually different, they look like there on fire in the car shot, but in the pic of just the rings they look normal lol, and the SR ones look like they have grooves and then bigger grooves, the flyryde ones are just all same grooves and the kspec ones are pretty much a solid circle

and last thing, any way i could find someone to chrome that little part of the bezel like SR did? or would it to be to many problems/look stupid, cause it does look nice in the picture, not sure on a car =/

edit: changed the pic for kspec, didnt know there entire gallery was 1 image

The "on fire" appearance is just the reflection, you would see the same thing if the SR ones were shot from straight ahead

No, the on fire is because they are bright as hell.

The "Apache" ones by SR look exactlly like that.

And kinda gay.

The Kspec.com ones are CCFL Rings (Cold Cathodes)

so the SR ones when turned on look pretty much the same as the flyryde ones? if i understood that right..

any ideas how white AE's would look with a blue tib and HID's? thinking of going either blue or white but sorta leaning to white but never seen anyone with them yet so cant compare with anything

and a question on clear corners so i dont have to make another thread, using the SR bulbs here as a example, gona find someone else to buy the bulbs off of since i havent heard a good thing about SR yet lol, but my question... with clearcorners, the bulbs on RD2 are 2 stage like our brake lights right? and if they are... do there bulbs that they advertise shine white when your driving/parked and then shine orange when the turn signals activated? and if no... possible at all?

^ I'm pretty sure they are just amber.

Here are some pics of my "Eyes". I think there are a couple on the first page too.

I'm glad this topic came up. Im about to purchase a set off Chris (I will always choose Flyryde over other vendors because of the custom nature of the product Chris offers the community)

My Question:

Can the amber dim lights be disabled and the Angel eyes be run instead? Meaning, the amber be used solely for turn indicators?

Thanks

^ Yes that can be done quite easily.

Australian cars do not use the turn-signals as "parking lights" but instead have another small bulb within the headlight housing. I have connected my eyes to those wires so that the eyes run as "parking lights" (what you called "dim lights") so I'm pretty sure you can do the same.

I think you could also probably run a separate switch so that you can flick between the two.
