so...just thought i would have some fun with my clear corners i got cooked them in my oven (was a little scared at first) but i got the hang of it, i also changed the bulbs to these chrome ones i got there chrome but blink orange so theres absolutley no orange in them at all, all i did for prep work was a bit of 800 grit sandpaper and the paint stuck good and came to a clean finish. heres a picture of the lights and bulbs im doing the headlight as soon as i have them apart to do the angel eyes.

They look good, Get pics when you put them in.. I'm curious to how they will shine through.. How hot did you cook them, how long, and did you use a specific technique when doing it?

^^Word. sadly, i've baked more types of car parts at 350 then I have food in my oven.
Looks good mang, can't wait to see more. Isn't there anything that can be done about those ridges on the back of the clear corners for RD1s? I'd sand those down and polish or something.

the ridges are on the lense so not really.
Sand them flat, using a piece of sand paper with a sponge behind it, then polish.

just a little note:
corners are put together with super glue while our headlights are put together with RTV like sealant.
my recipe for headlight and corner light cooking:
headlights:
350 degrees for two minutes, fold back tabs. get housing started to come off with screwdriver and then work the rest of teh way with a 1 inch wide paint scraper. if there is resistance, stick back in for another minute.
corners:
350 degrees for 1.5 minutes, pull and work very gently along the longest main surface, never start at a corner. the minute you feel resistance, put back in for one more minute. repeat and repeat but also watch at the same time to make sure that the housing isnt getting soft also.
one other note...
while in the oven, prop the door open just slightly with a soup ladle or somethign that will keep the door open roughly 1 inch.
