I have been seeing a few pics around with the RD1 front fenders with the gills. Does no one make these anymore? It seems like I've looked everywhere for them. Maybe Im just overlooking something?
Second Question: Does anyone know where I can get more of the things that hold the stock side skirts on? I ripped mine off of one side and was gonna put on some black ones.

Check for Z3 style fenders. I've come across them a few times. Can't think of a website off-hand, but they still sell them.

Here's one such site, just have to look around, and find the best suited one for you.

http://www.customautotrim.com/bodykits/ext...00-2002/103507/

PS - RD1(96-99) and RD2(2000-01) fenders are the same.

yeah, there were some made, but not anymore as far as i recall.

i think the best way to do em, if you know anyone good with metal is to cuz the gills in, and bend the metal in. then you can add material to where it was bent, weld it in, and voila. might be a little bit more work, but you could get some spare fenders and make the cuts yourself, just take your time.

then you wont have mold lines or a part steel, part FG fender. or ever have to worry about the paint looking different/wavy because of bad prep over the FG area.

just a warning. alot of those cheap FG/duraflex or w/e they call em fenders fit like JUNK.. hardly worth it to have 3 little vents when they don't line up.

^ Exactly! I'm sure some of you remember Phorq's ordeal when he bought the fenders from Erebuni. They didnt line up and he spent alot of extra money getting them to look right.

Instead of buying fiberglass fenders, you're MUCH better off buying a set of gills somewhere, cutting the STOCK fender, and molding the gills in. You'll have a perfect fitting fender, and the look you're going for.
