Thought I would share what I did on the rear of my car for the license plate lights.

I used 4 Hyper White LED's with resistors and wired them up to the regular wiring. I did this rather than cut huge holes in my bodykit for the factory lights. I'm pretty pleased at how it turned out. Let me know what you think!laugh.gif

does it light up the whole plate brightly, or just directly under the bulb? cuz the picture looks like it only is bright below the bulb and is dark where there isn't...

It lights up the plate fairly evenly. Obviously brighter directly under the LED's, but it's enough that the cops can read the plate!

do cops really ticket people for that? I ran for years in my spider with no plate lights.. but then NJ plates are totally reflective and they could probably not tell. Looks good though, I may have to try it in the stock location

I don't know if they would really ticket someone for that, but I don't want to find out the hard way!

superbrightLEDS is THE place to get LEDS.. I bought a flashlight from them for work... I would never go back to a normal incandescent again.

for special leds, yes. but for just individual leds, now way. look up a guy on ebay named chi wing if you want leds.
