If you can get your old light as clean as RD1Tib's, then definitely black. If the lens is cloudy on your old light, then go with a new one and either stay chrome, or black out both new lights.

Our headlight's lens is actually glass, so it's a piece of piss to bring up like new again fing02.gif

It's tied at 7 each... doesn't really help me sad.gif

Cheers to those who voted (yeah... all 14 of you, lol).

I ended up painting the new bezels black last night after work.

Here's the result...

A few more pics here.

The other side will need to be re-done though as the new paint is slightly darker & also because I've decided to ditch the angel eyes (I didn't bother to reinstall it in the new headlight).

Looking good. Did you use a more glossy blk paint or is the new headlight still clearer than the old one?

Both, lol.

The old paint was matte black paint & the new paint is satin black... so slightly more shiney & also slightly darker.

The new headlight & corner housing are brand new & a fair bit clearer than the slightly yellowed, nearly 10 year old ones I have on the driver's side. The old ones have also seen the inside of my oven at least 5 or 6 times whereas the new ones have only ridden that ride once wink1.gif

Btw, how do I stop the poll?

You painted your lights in 11 minutes since you posted this thead? Or you did it and then asked which looks better?

Is it posible to paint the headlights black ? (take the glass off and then paint most chrome parts that do not affect the image the lights produce.

^^^ that's what people do. You can paint all crome inside. Just don't paint lenses, and high-lights reflectors.
