does anyone know if they made more than one shade of red or just one color red for the 2001 tiburon? thanks

i think it was just the one red but there were a lot of colors so im not totally sure

one is called desert rose if i remember correctly

its "rare" here is a pic of one i saw in chicago

I believe it was "Antique Rose" I allmost bought that one but decided to go Black.

I've seen lotsa elantra's with that dark red color around. Not really my taste.
I know that the 'bright' red is called a very miserable 'poppy red' or someting here. Dunno where they got that from really, who thinks up these names? I do think that the names used for the colors would be different in europe sad.gif . Not for the better I guess... (poppy, geez, that kinda makes me not take the color even if it looks allright).

there was also Jazz Orange, which was so very close to the stock Red in color, it almost doesn't seem worth the extra color IMO. Jazz Orange, Antique Rose, and Tropic Green were all limited production colors... either 1500 or 3000 of each color were made for distribution in the US (and possibly Canada).

There's at least one other discussion about this here on RDT if you search for it... it was from a while back though.

we have 2 ofthe desert rose rd2 in columbus, and we also have a orange rd2 but i think it has aftermarket paint because its just sof***in orange that i feel like i need some oj whenever he passes by
