Default color sanding

Ok what exactly is involved in this process

I thought it was just using some waxing compound... but obviously thats not it

Reason being... a friend told me a can make my headlights nice and clear again by sanding them down with some 2000 grit sandpaper, then color sanding them

Ive seen a finished result, and they almost look like randoms glass headlights

I also want to know this, so in the future i can do this to my car

thanx

basically, what they are doing is polishing the plastic. By using a VERY fine grit wet sandpaper, and then following it up with plastic polish, all the scratches, nicks and oxidation can be removed, leaving you with clear headlights. For another 2 years anyway, then you'll have to do it again.
