TC, you know i'm not too big on those rims. I know money isn't easy to come by, but I loved your black tiburon with those 17's. I still think you should consider getting some nice n' hot 17's o go with the bodykit. In my opinion, no bodykitted car looks good without at least 17's. It's why your black tib looked so great thanks to those old rims.

But if it comes down to this, I say black would just look wierd on a silver car. I'd go with dark gunmetal for your car. Perhaps even bronze.

The Motegis were 16s, I want 17s but thats out of the question for a while. I like these and I wanna just spruce em up a bit. I originally thought bronze but I thought it would look out of place because theres no other bronze on the car, and it might clash with the car color. Then I thought silver, cause it would coordinate with the silver dash and under the hood. But I always like darker rims, it looks stealthy and they always catch my attention. I'd go with a darker gunmetal but the only gunmetal Duplicolor makes in wheel paint is pretty much identical to the car color. So its either black or silver. Ive had silver before, and I dunno it just feels too stock to me.

edit, check it out:

you do make a point, that sure it will look like part of the body in silver, but see with those rims it'll look like you have no rims! I know this isn't the thread, but since it's either silver or black and I say black, check out what's storming around in my mind for your tib:

I had Motegi FF7's in a glossy black with silver lip....they looked mean and sinister but they blended in too much with the tires and didn't add any contrast...I have since changed a year ago and am amazed at the contrast I get with the new rims...I wouldn't go black unless you have a black car or want to look like everyone else at the car shows...I get so much more attention with a brushed alluminum rim...just my two cents....

old rims...

new rims...

If you get some new rims, I say go with some black thinner-spoked 17s.

If you want to keep the Rotas, I would say leave them as they are... They look fine fing02.gif

The color of the prodrive rims HKC showed would look good. You current rims would look better if they matched the color of the car more. They're different enough for them to not look right. Black rims are like not having any rims at all. They get lost with the tire unless there's a lip.

TBH, I like your wheel color/style more than any I've seen on a Tib atm.

I want to steal them. cool.gif

The problem is I can only afford to work with what I have. I like the color of them now but I feel like they blend too much with the color of the car. I want a bit more contrast. I agree with that they might blend with the tires too much. Im thinking maybe I can somehow mix the Duplicolor gunmetal and black to come up with a dark graphite type color.
