I've never been pulled over for this but when I was stopped for speeding and the cop say my purple rear blinkers he said that he could give me a ticket for those as well (only gave me a warning for the lights).

 

you got lucky ultra......if he had given you a ticket you woulda had to have gone to the MVA.........and only during a specific day/time when there are troopers doing equipment inspections.

For me I had to go to the MVA between 8:30 and 10:00 Am on a wednesday. (Gaithersburg, Montgomery County)

 

so apparently the white/blue question doesnt matter cause its illegal either way huh? has anyone gone to inspetion with theyre clear corners with white or blue bubls?

 

I still have the amber lamps in my clear corners... I would suggest the silverstars instead of clear.. at least when they are off, you can't tell they are amber

 

Alright, well just to let everyone know, I checked the local laws in Maryland. It seems on all turn blinkers ,running lights, side markers you have to have either amber or yellow bulbs. On all brake lights you have to have red bulbs. Also on brake lights any car made after sometime (forget the date) in the early 90's has to have a 3rd brake light. Backup lights have to be either white or amber.

Oh yeah I am not disagreeing with that lol.gif . But he had asked about the legality of it thats why I found that info. I am going to be getting the correct color bulbs just in the massive 24 bulb size. So it may be the same general color but it will be bright as hell.

If you really want the clear/clear look, get some of the 19 LED 1157's from www.superbrightleds.com, get the narrow angle ones.....thats what i have and they are great. plus they are a silver color so it doesnt mess up the whole clear corner look.
