Default claybaring tinted tails

my tails have been tinted with nightshades for over a year and im looking forward to claybaring my entire car this week sometime. will claying the tinted tails hurt them any? they tinted, sanded, and then sprayed with exterior clear from a paint gun, and then sanded again. they look perfect. im just worried that claying might ruin them so if anyone has done it did they turn out ok afterwards?

The clay is not abrasive; that is the point. It only picks up particles stuck in the surface. If your tails will leave nightshade on your hand when you rub the lights, the clay will take it off. Otherwise I would expect no trouble . . . but I've not done it. Anyone else with 2 cents?
