Yeah I've known about ddmtuning for a while, everyone seems pleased with them. I just ordered some 35W 5000K lights for my GTO, can't wait to install them.

 

the 3000k are illegal as your normal headlights. no matter what state you are in. unless you use them solely for offroad use wink.gif but just to tell you that 3000k are obnoxiously yellow. it begins to get irritating. if you just dont want anything blue i would suggest 4300k or 6000k. 4300k are as close to halogen color but in hid form meaning very bright. where 6000k are a little more towards angel white but no where near the rice blue that they call 10000k

 

I've heard it varies by manufacturer. I've seen 10000k that are blue, and 10000k that are purple. The I've 6000k that I've seen have a slight bluish tint, but for the most part are white (whiter than the BMW-type halogens).

4300k are supposed to be as close to white as possible.

All HIDs are probably illegal if you follow the letter of state laws, but you aren't going to get a ticket for them unless they're ridiculously abnoxious. 95% of officers wouldn't be able to tell they're aftermarket.

 

the 3k's are my fogs and the 8k's are for my lows, will prolly order some h7 bulbs for my highs for canyon runs too.

nice. if you get the relay kit, it's nice because you don't burn out your plugs and can have your lights on with the car off. install should be cake. H3's really help light up the surface.

an older post mentioned that PJs are the way to go to HIDs and that normal reflective housings are bad, can I just aim them down more than usual to avoid blinding people?

 

^Making cut off shields is a better idea. When you aim them down far enough to not blind people, you kind of lose the luxury of having the HID kit. Still bright, but not out far enough on the road to have bothered changing.
