Default Cheap way to clean buffing pads?

I was just wondering what some of you guys do with your freshly used buffing pads once your done with them. The lifespan of my pads is depressing and most of the pad restorers from detailing websites are kind of expensive. I know it takes a certain degreaser to clean pads properly but is there a cheap inexpensive way to clean them? Maybe dish soap or something? Thanks
