sadly, I didn't weigh the CF hood before installing it, but, from the incredibly accurate lift-by-the-latch-hook-with-one-hand test:
stock hood: uncomfortable/unsafe carrying with two fingers of one hand
CF hood: quite comfortable carrying with one finger of one hand
