So every time I go through a car wash, they try to upsell me to a better package or try to get me to spend a few more dollars on body gloss or rain-x. Does it really matter what level package you get or is it all just a gimmick for the car washes to make more money on suckers? I always end up just getting the cheapo basic washes because to me, soap and water is just soap and water. Doesnt matter if it has stuff in it or not to enhance the paint and stuff. I always hand wax my car anyway.

 

hand wax is better than all the other stuff. I'd suggest getting rain-x windshield washer fluid - it's worked great for me and isn't any different in price.



When I take my Murano to the touchless wash, I get the undercarriage wash when it's been snowing and there's salt.
