does anyone know how canards attach to the front bumper? i have been interested in putting some on my stock front bumper but the website ( http://www.importfan.com/subcatmfgprod.asp...60&1=391&2=1173 ) doesn't show how they attach. they (GTP/Importfan) seem to have pretty good prices on CF stuff, they even have a CF spoiler that resembles the "wild/Type R style spoiler". any ways help will be appreciated.

I saw them on the shark racing site a while ago. I believe they are called splitters. I talked to some ppl who had them, some loved them some hated them because they get bashed up pretty easy. I still think they are pretty sweet tho.

You can buy aluminum ones at Autozone, I do not know how you are supposed to attach them though.

thanks guys, i am interested in getting the "diffusers / splitters" too, CF will hold up much better than what ever SR sells.

but what my question was about was these : http://www.importfan.com/images/products/c...nal_carbon_type

I don't think i'll ever buy from SR again, Actually make that SR USA, i ordered emblems from them along with my AEM, and the emblems got here from korea three weeks BEFORE my AEM from cali.

Still haven't put them on either, just sitting at home.

they are held up by a right angle angle bracket it is very easy and simple go ahead and order them and cut to fit. on side of the bracket mounts to the canard and the side mounts to the bumper.

Actually, if you contact Curt from Customcomposite (Customcomposite is his name on Ebay, and he sells/makes the hoods you see on Importshark.com and the one I got, VERY nice), he can make you CF or FG ones specificly for the Tiburon.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

PM me if you want me to contact him for you.

Thanks REDZ, i would like for you to contact him, maybe this could be a group buy.

i don't plan on getting a body kit, so maybe people would be interested in the canards for the stock front bumper. Fairly cheap, if CF no painting needed, won't change the lines of the car as much as say, the zefiro kit, my pilosophy for body mods is to make the car look better with fewer and less drastic mods.

only things i have planned are : Vented CF hood (with high beam tunnels painted to match body color), these canards, if we get them done, CF front side splitters, turby side skirts, and shark style rear wing. (BIG maybe, the vented fenders from customcomposite). may sound like a lot, but in reality all i'll be doing is making the car look as I feel it should have from the dealer, and follow the shark theme a bit more.

customcomposite@yahoo.com

Go for it. Tell him I sent you.

BTW, tell him to come visit our site, the only site DEDICATED to 1st and 2nd generation Tiburons on the net.

Wait till you see the new fenders me and Curt are working on...

I HOPE to GOD it goes thru.

EDIT: I gave him a quick email refrencing this thread. He also just emailed me a photo of my hood installed on his car.

My GOD I can't wait for it, best looking hood EVER!

I would mind getting a set if the price is right. When I first started out I wanted to do everything simple not sure what happened but I guess you take the boy out of the mini-truck but you can't the mini-trucker out of the boy. smile.gif
