I have been wondering this for a while now. Can you take an OEM paint car (in new or great condition) and simply rough up the OEM clear and lay down new clear over top of that?



Or



Would you have to simply respray the whole car whatever color it is that you want and then clear over that paint?

 

just wet sand and re clear, you will be fine.
