Bright blue bmwbenz headlights
i got a question...which company makes the best bright shade of blue headlight bulb that looks exactly like the bmw's or benz. I have bought some of ebay.. they are just a LITTLE tint of blue and thats it. nothing compared to the real bmw's. Iv'e also picked up some around my area. same thing. :x
I have seen 2 civics riding around town with the exact lights i want. But im not going to chase em down and ask them what brand they got.
Im curious if anyone can help me out?

BMW's have HIDs! Not just blue bulbs
They are actually around 4100K (Sunlight spectrum)
They are actually WHITE, the reason they look "blue" is because of the outter light spectrum, (white fading off) which makes it look blue or slight shade of purple,...
Anyway, please read:

It's a good explaination

to get the actual effect you have to get an HID kit. They include a ballast that creates that bright blue glow. I think it's on the expensive side. Around $1000 a light last I heard but that was for the GK.
www.autolumination.com has VERY nice (get the neon blue krypton) bright and real blue headlights, they are neon and NOT white, when you're driving it actually makes things that are white (like signs and stuff) look blue, really cool headlights.
however..the problem is that (this has happened to me twice now and im very upset about it cuz these were cool headlights) is that the 9006 bulbs for some reason (or maybe it's my car) burn out after about a week. the 9005s i have for the brights that i bought from them have lasted for months now though, and are still working. the 9005s have a similar blue effect, but they look more white, these are more the typical kind.
anyways just thought id share, because these are TRUE blue, not the purplish kind that even the benz's have, they're really cool...until they burn out (if they do)
i also bought the euro fx ones, they are bright white but they aren't really that blue, they are also more expensive, you can get the autolumination ones for cheap and they look awesome if you want to try them out.
if all else fails, get some angel eyez it will give the illusion that you have colored headlights smile.gif

yeah, the bmw's headlights are actually a yellowish color on the kelvin scale. it looks blue because the way the headlight housing bends the light.
if you want to get the blue look on cars not equiped stock with hid headlights, you will have to just get a hid kit with a higher kelvin rating, like 6k or 8k.
