Hello again RDT,

A bit of a back story first.

So for now i decided to scrap my idea of getting a trany swap and try to trade in my automatic tib for a manual or buy a 2nd manual for 500-800$ just as a daily driver which if i want i can strip and use for parts.

Since i got my car i have been looking at diffirent body kits to make my car stand out, there are quite a bit of tiburons in montreal, and most body kits either do not suit my taste or are too low for montreal driving.

Then I once came a cross an article about making a custome body kit, and I figured why not.
I do scultping as a hobby and have worked with fiberglass before.
So now i am doing couple of sketches to figure out the best body kit i would want on the car while keeping all the safty equipment in place and making it look like it belongs there.

Now i am not saying i am gona be selling them since i do not know how it will turn out, but would any one be interested in the process? I could not find any DIY on the process and was thinking of writing one as I experiment. Would anyone be interested in one?

So let me know what you think, and if anyone has any ideas on what they would like to see let me know too, i wont still your ideas, relax.

I will post up some sketches when i get some time.

Thanks.

there are several members that have hacked up stock bumpers and combined bits and pieces to make something they liked. Others have used pieces from the garden center to make lips (I think it would look waay better molded into the bumper.) etc.

So your not alone. Go for it and see what you can come up with.

Absolutely!! Keep a good record both written and photographed. Lots and lots of photos. Sketches, concepts, materials, first stages, making it, final product, everything.
You could even post up a bunch of sketches and have people vote on their favorite!

This would be great if you did a DIY on how to make your own body kit. The more pics and explainations the better. I'd be super interested. Some sketches of ideas would be good too.

you have to register to view the threads but of course it is free. there is alot of guys on here that do cavaliers for some reason but there are several ways that people have done and materials that they have used that is really ingenius. most of the widebody kits they make weight a damn ton and most of the cars are trailer queens, but it gives you still some ideas.
