Default Best wax to keep oxidation away...if any?

my paint gets oxidized pretty bad ('01 accent) and about 5 months ago i used meguiar's ultimate compound to get it off then put on some meguiar's tech wax 2.0. the oxidation started coming back within a few months. is there any kind of wax that may hold up better, maybe for several months or so? Thanks.

Oxidized paint means your clear coat is gone. You need a clear coat to keep the paint from oxidizing. That's what it's there for.

That said, You can try some of that urethane based wax like Turtle Wax F21. Urethane based wax tend to last much longer then most car wax. They basically laminate your paint. The duration of wax comes at a price of the level of shine. You will never get your car as shiny with F21 as you will with meguires.

Make sure you use rubbing compound to get off the dead paint, then use polishing compound to make it smooth again, then urethane wax to seal in the nice paint. Keep reapplying that wax every few months.
