yeah, I thought eh at first, then saw that it is simply a clear coat!! At least it looks like a clear coat. Looks like its the original finish underneath.

Wow! This is actually really friggin cool! I'd rock that on the Tib!!

... Waits for the Feds to ban it as distracting.

I'm going to guess it wouldn't be too hard for a judge to declare it distracting under current "don't be distracting" type laws if you have it flashing around while driving around. Police cruiser video evidence would be all they'd need and you would never see the one that filmed you until they already had their lights flashing brighter than your paint job.

I'm also going to guess it will be played out on the show scene in a few years.

If you could get it in colors besides EL-blue, that would have some serious potential. As it is, it's already pretty neat.

If it came in other colors, that would be pretty cool because then you could do your entire car and choose different paint jobs or colors. I foresee the tech getting better and it'll be there in the next couple of years.

It looks like the clear coat is made out of an optical material with an LED backlight. It's not that hard to manufacture, but to get even lighting would be tough.

Kinda cool for a show car, but on the street it's just silly. Also inevitable...

I would put it on my car, but only as maybe a small pinstripe down the side of the car.
