Default Audi bumper on an RD1

My buddies car got rear ended last week and the insurance company has deemed it as a total lost. Hes had this bumper sitting in his garage for over a year and has no need for it. Its mine for a case of beer. How hard would it be to retrofit this bumper onto an RD1? Too much work to deal with? Is this something I could do myself or would a professional shop have to get into it? Keep in mind I dont have a clue about molding or doing this kind of work.

It looks identical to the RS4 bumper

You could take some measurements, but I'm guessing it would need to be narrowed quite a bit, and re-shaped a lot. I think a shop would have to spend a lot of time on it.

highly depends on the dimensions and shape.. your best bet would be a RD2 front or a GK front, which can be done somewhat easily with not much work or skill required.

granted any meshing of two bumpers will require some skill, lots of time and patience, but pulling something with a shape/size closer to the RD1 will work MUCH better.

^i just don't think that anything GK should be combined with anything RD. aesthetically there's just something terribly wrong with doing that like a Mathematical equation that doesn't work.

if you want class, take an RD1 bumper, cut it horizontally (not vertically) in half. Take the Audi bumper, do the same and Combine the two so the top is the Tiburon and botton is the Audi. It might look nice.

I agree with you about mixing anything gk and rd.

I think you could get the same look with the cuda 1 front bumper.
