Default Anyone ever had their windshield replaced?

I was following too close to a dump truck and a bunch of rocks came out the back end and hit my windshield, causing a few cracks. I called my insurance company and its all covered so they're sending someone out to replace it instead of filling the cracks in.

When they replace your windshield, do they remove the rearview mirror and put it on the new one and anything else from the old one or is that up to you to do? What about all the rubber molding and stuff?

I had mine replaced about 4-5 years ago, mirrors still on. He had trim for the window but it wasnt factory trim and didnt look as good when he showed me. He was very careful about removing the window and reused the factory trim.

This. The mirror should stay just fine, if it doesn't there's a kit at your local auto parts store to glue it back on, no sweat.
