Default Anyone else having headlight problems?

a few months ago one of my stock headlights went out, so I bought a set of aftermarket blue ones. A week or two later one of the aftermarket went out. So I put the good stock one back in. then the other aftermarket went out. So I thought that aftermarket were a piece of crap. So I went to pep-boys and bought a "upgrade" whichs is just a superbright(not super-blue) bulbs. They both went out and now i'm just left with the stock one. I'm pretty sure that the bulbs went out alternating between the left and right, so its not really a headlamp problem.

Anyone else have a problem with non-stock bulbs? or do I have a electrical problem?

have an AVR test performed on your tib, you may have a faulty alternator, intermittently producing high high voltage and causing your headlamps to burn out prematurly

I had this problem with my headlights too. My drivers side went out so I had the dealership change it and they changed both. Then about a week later my passenger side went out. Again the dealership changed both. So far i'm going a few weeks w/o one going but i'm sure it will happen.

I had 3 headlights go out on me in ONE WEEKEND! I lost both low beams and one high beam. I have since replaced them and not had any problems since...

Make sure when you change bulbs, that you are wearing some kind of gloves. If you touch the glass on the bulbs, the oil from your fingers can cause them to burn out. wink.gif

Will I have any problems running aftermarket head lights? I have heard some people have had problems with them burning out really fast.
The reason why I am asking is because it took 4 months to get them from the time I ordered them.
They are the Street Glow H7 70watt xenon white.
Thanks for the help

Also what are the fog lights on a 2000 Tib?

h3's but get PIAA...or else it will turn out yellow.

i like the HYPER brand for H7's....very intense white beam but DO NOT BUY H1's from them....yellowish light....

i changed my lights as soon as i got the car so i still got the stock bulbs.
