We have contacted Hyundai about it, they aren't doing anything.
One of the things that's going on is when you first start your car, you have a jolt of higher voltage go thru everything right after.
So, as mentioned to me years ago, I start my car and let it run for 30 to 60 seconds before I turn on my lights.
I haven't had to replace a bulb in a few years now.

I have had my tib 9 months and replaced the headlights about 6 times. The pass side is out again. It is always the pass side, but once they both went out in the same night, that ticked a lot of people when I was driving with only my brights.
Seems like most people only have one go out at a time, but i also had them both go. It sucked, i was just as mad as the people that had to deal with my brights!!

i bought some xenon's off ebay and i was pretty happy with the color and very happy with the brightness. then about a month later i went to college and i blew a bulb (left) then i put the stock one back in and the right blew. i was pissed until i went to the company website where they have a lifetime warranty. just send the busted ones and they send you new ones...pretty neat...i dont know the exact reason why they blew(Both low beams) but the high beams are still fine. maybe cuz i use them less...
I find this all very odd.. and I think the RD2s are more prone to it than the RD1s. After five and a half years and 104,000 miles.. I still have ALL the original lamps in my car (except for the third brake light.. I converted mine to LED)
And yes, do NOT touch the lamps.. to be exact, I would wash them off in alcohol after you take them out of the package and BEFORE you put them in the car. The Oil on your hands (or from building/shipping) makes a hot spot on the glass and eventually forms a pinprick hole that allows atmosphere in.. burning out the fragile filiment inside.

I have a 2000 Tib and have gone through quite a few low beam bulbs. I have always suspected the bulbs short life may be due to vibration. The lights in my car are kind of loose. You can see the lights shaking when you go over bumps in the road. I figure that is probably not good for the bulbs.
I have not had good experiences with ebay bulbs. They don't seem to last very long and any I've had were the ones with a blue coating which might look cool but don't give good illumination. A lifetime warranty isn't worth much if you have to pay to ship the bulbs back to the manufacturer and also pay for the return shipping on the new bulbs every month or two. Regular bulbs generally last about 6 months for me.

i thought maybe i did something wrong. i have never touched any of the bulbs and they still seem to burn out wuick. we should get that website on here with the warranty because it sounds like this is a huge problem and im sure we all have better things to spend money on than new bulbs

i agree but ive had my high beams since july and ever since my bulbs blew the first time i havent had a problem with them. The bulbs are from eurodesigns and they are like 25 on the website but you can find them on ebay for cheaper. They come in different colors.
