Default Re: 18" Rims possible or not?

I've just picked up some M3 mirrors, and I'm just curious if anyone has made their own bracket for one or if I'll have to try and make or get a one developed

if you picked up REAL m3 mirrors... you will need to have a bracket made.. you are in the same boat as I am. I have a set of Fiat coupe' mirrors in the garage that need modding to fit the door of my tib.

Actual M3 mirrors or the M3 style ones made for the Tibs?

that is my question... if they are made for the tib in the M3 style.. then they should just bolt on. If they are REAL M3 mirrors.. you are looking at some fabrication

Ive got the ones made by arospeed, and they dont fit correctly. They look fine from the outside but on the inside there is a gap, the stock black triangle thingy is smaller than the exterior triangle thingy on the mirror. Theres a big gap where you can see inside the mirror. Doesnt look too bad, but I eventually I wanna make some sort of thingy to make it look better.

Seems like when I get home a xmas I'll have to go and see that plastic molding guy near by and see what he can hook me up with.

I thought you could get those things with universal base-plates that can be trimmed down to fit just about any car... It's a little bit of work but it shouldn't be too hard to get them to fit.

I know at one time kSpec was going to list some M3 mirrors. Dont know how much you spent on them but it may be easier to just pick some up from them that are 100% bolt on and re-sell the old ones.

We still are. David was dropping the idea and I showed him these threads about them.

Here's the deal.

He's sending me a set next month, I'll install them and give feedback, and a DIY. Then he'll offer them.

I bought a set of M3 mirrors from ebay a while ago. They were a universal mirror, with a baseplate to fit the RD tib. I didn't like the look so I sold them to Ryno.
