Hi Guys,
I recently bought a 1999 Tiburon/Coupe for my 1st car. One of the things that I have always wanted to do was put Altezzas on it. I wanna put the black or carbon fibre style ones, coz i think it would go nice on my white exterior. Apparantly these aftermarket taillights are smaller that OEM tails. So I was just wondering from the people who do have them, are the smaller and do any of you guys have problems with them at all?
Thanx

i don't have your year tib, but i had aftermarket tails and i didn't have any problems with leaking or fogging up or anything. if they are indeed smaller, you might run into this. you could possibly use some waterproof clear sealant to prevent water from getting into them.

I have a '98 White w/ carbon fiber Altezza's they work just fine for me. I say go for it. I like'd the look for a long time and I might just modify them when I redo my ride.

Only thing is, you may have to dremil out the holes a bit to adjust the fitment. Not much of a problem.

Oh yeah Welcome to the boards.

I was hoping that BigTre would chime in. I have seen his tib. The white with the blacked out ALtezzas looks HOT! I did not notice any problems with the unit being too small either. Not that I was really looking, Philly was cold and rainy that afternoon.

I think they would look good, especially if you went with gunmetal colored wheels.

I really like the way they look. I have an rd2 and I bought it with euro tails on it already so I don't know if the previous owner installed them on their own or sealed them or anything, but I haven't had any problems with fogging or moisture if that was deterring you.

Altezza is the name of a car.

The Aftermarket Lights are usually referred to as Euro Tails or simply CF Taillights or Black Chrome taillights.

Get them, they look great on both gens if you get the color that compliments your car.

Chrome on a bright colored car, black chrome on the dark colored cars. CF in the trash.
