Default Altering bumper for muffler tip...

As you can see the Elantra rear bumper doesn't have a space allotted for a muffler.

My Accent, has the same problem, so the muffler I had put on has to sit rather low and sticking far out from the back to compensate for the lack of room.

Since I plan on putting an aftermarket muffler on my Elantra I was curious to know if there are any special tools/products available to be able to cut a slot, so I can have the muffler placed in a spot that is a little more inconspicuous.

get a dremel and some sort of writing/marking utensil that won't hurt your paint. i'm thinking of one of those really soft chalk things that tailors use to mark clothing. that's what i would do. also, i would be 200% sure about where i made the markings before i brought out the dremel. basically, you could cut a hole in the bumper like the tibs, and use a sanding bit on the dremel to smooth it out.
