Default ADR rims on 01 tib

was wondering what u guys think of these rims (17" ADR GT sport) on this car. also some guy was telling me that the tib has some kind of thing (something about the rotor) that makes it so that certain rims wont work. anyone hear anything about this or has had any problems.

96, 97, and 98 Tibs had captive rotors instead of the more normal type the later models do. I see you have a 2000, so you should not have any problems in mounting those wheels.

Even if you did have problems, you could get a wheel and tire shop to bore out the 4x100 holes so it would fit wink1.gif

thats what I did cool.gif
but like Mad-machine said, you wont have any captive rotor issues.

I think they are mint bud. the only problem i had when i went to put on my rims is there's a screw on the rotor that i had to take off so the rim would sit flush. i've had my rims on for 3yrs and no problem yet with taking the screw off. The hyundai dealer did for me an said it would'nt be a prob

that's what i had done on my old set of wheels as well...and currently they're on a civic (hondas have 4x100) and he's had no problems with them.

Right.. remember that Tibs use a 4x114.3 bolt pattern.. NOT 4 x100

^^ i just drilled mine out, f*ck the dealer. take a power drill with a mini bit and go right thru those b*tches.

That should be the only problem tho, the rotors being captive shouldn't make it a problem. i know guys here who have the captive setup w aftermarket wheels and they didn't have any problems.

I thought 2000-2001's all have non-captive rotor setups?
