Greets. Has anyone purchased and mounted an "Eye Liner" Kit?

that eyeline kit looks pretty nice and subtle, but 72$ for than thin ass strip? wow..

 

^ Its M&S, thats why its so expensive. They have a reputation for having over priced stuff. However, it comes painted to match your car color, so I guess its pretty good price for it considering a shop would probably charge $50-$75 to paint it.

 

My concern is over mounting/installing. I had "pinstrips" on the hood of my old SRT4, which would start peel off when trucking in pouring rain at 60 - 70mph. If tape hold these pieces on, I worry about them staying on!! Any experience?

As long as you clean your lights properly so there's no wax or oily residue on them, and you install the eyelines on when its warm, you should be ok. If you're worried about the sticky tape, you could always either get stronger tape, like 3M (not sure what kind comes on them already), or you could use epoxy and attach them to your headlights permanently.

 

Any recomendation on what epoxy to use???

Any epoxy from a hardware store or auto parts place.

 

The 3m will more then hold them in place. My tail light covers have been on for 5 years with no sign of going anywhere yet.

 

3M Very High Bond (VHB) is what they use to apply the stock emblems. 3M calls it a viable alternative to mechanical (and welded) fastening systems, and they are right. Just be sure to properly prep both surfaces first.
