ok, ive been looking at each pic, and the 1st gen just looks better, i think its cause they stopped the paint at the bumper where yours continues, but doesnt really follow anything. kinda reminds me of a thong on yours.

i say try anothe photoshop with the black ending at our grill opening between the headlights, and dont carry it down any more from that point. maybe it will look a bit better.

 

^^^+1 two tone is hard to pull off on a car like ours because of the curves. just keep trying it. i like the black on top but how u handle it on the hood will make or break the design

Eh? Nah, haven't talked to Socks about it. The inspiration actually came from the Red GK in the COTM competition this month.

i've been working on it for 2 years now and haven't driven it...and its almost done..so i'll show it off in a month once its for sure complete

I like the look you have there. I agree on the way you have the stripe between the headlights looking better. I was planning on painting the top of my car black and leave my hood/bottom half of hatch alone for the 2 tone look that I want personally.
