I still prefer the clean lines of the first gen. Mine is a 99 also, one of the VERY last made in that body style. It is a REAL pain to get parts for as mechanically it is a second gen underneath. When ever I go to the dealer, I have to give the build date or I get the wrong parts. That also works the other way too.. When I installed some Hella driving lights, they sold me the wrong switch.. the build date had it set as a Second Gen... instead of the first gen interior I have...
It also came to me with 1500 miles when it rolled off of the truck.. so I have to wonder if it was a factory mule or something strange.

i like the first gens over the second.. but i stil have a lot of respect for the second gens.. some ppl just make it look too good to be true.. i cant really think of alot of examples right now.. but i like joonies (david) tib.. its freakin sick.. like the zefiro 2 kit he has on it.. really nice.. and majiks second gen is crazy too.. and its a REAL VS kit too! right majik? hahaha..

If I were to total my tib tomarrow.. and was forced to buy a second Gen.. first thing I would do would be to do a conversion to a first gen headlights.. might look neat with the second gen tails.
