Hyundai meet Germany / EUrope
Last weekend a German Hyundai team organized a big meeting together with Hyundai Motor Germany.
My team decided to do a little road trip to give our neighbors a visit.
A total trip of 1600 (return) awesome km's.
Mind you guys, Europe does not have the Gen Coupe yet.
There are 3 GC's in Germany at the moment. 2 privatly owned and one from Hyundai Germany.
2 of them were there!
I talked to one of the owners and the last day we he drove a little together and he offered me to take a place behind the wheel. How can I say no!?
All I can say, I have a new dream! The car feels great, but damn it is big!? Specially compared to my own little Tibby.
Also Hyundai organized a few things you could do, offroading - a slalom track with the small I20's, that was so much fun!
a wet track with the I30 and skill test with parking etc. with glasses on which simulates you're drunk haha
So to keep you from suspense, here are some pics from the weekend. Hope you'll enjoy.

thanks Domi for sharing this. i have one question: Germans love their tires incredibly close to the fenders. i know how European roads are too. so how the hell do they not rub fenders, and how do they not scratch up or break the bodywork on those roads?!
the Genesis is quite large. it makes our cars look like toys, but i bet you can fit and transport more stuff in yours smile.gif the trunks in the Genesis Coupes suck ass.

Regit, I wish we would too have these more!
Normally at the Dutch shows Hyundai is like, pff hyundai. So this was a complete new experience.
HKC, yes they do... I did not see them at this meet though. It's more like a VolksWagen thing I think.
The roads in germany are pretty decent. Specially the Autobahn (much fun)
And with all low cars, you avoid places where you're not able to go to.
Airride is also a solution that is seen quiet a lot.

This wa sone nice meet Domi. It is a shame I couldn't make it there even if I knew when and where was it held. Any chance of posting a web site address for German Hyundai Club?

theres plenty of nice cars there, is this likely to happen again? the Uk club have been considering a European Roadtrip for a while now, could make this the end destination.
