I have a chance to pick up a number of obx parts on ebay for a decent price. Is it worth it?
my list is as follows:

universal guage pod
adjustible cam gear
rad hoses (need some dress up)
overdrive power pulley kit
short throw shifter
header

Im on a tight budget which is why this apeals to me. That being said is this stuff trustworthy? I have read about some experiences on this stuff but im left unsure. But if im going to fill my engine bay with junk then I 'd like to know!

thanx

universal guage pod - i doubt its universal. Will probably mount like shit.
adjustible cam gear - Go for it!
rad hoses (need some dress up) - Dress up = Rice! lol
overdrive power pulley kit - I think there's a problem with the fitment of the accesories, but the crank pulley works. They may fit on your 98.
short throw shifter - Get an RSide. It's worth it and much shorter.
header - No opinion.

... and as for the radiator hoses, my cousin bought some red hoses for his car. Looked good for a day or two. He clamped them a little too hard and it put a small slice in the hoses, making them leak. It was a very slow leak, but when the hoses got wet from the coolant, the red dye would drip off and look nasty.

they're cheap, Thin, they used horrible dye that fades... and I've heard their headers aren't worth it either.

I'd put your money towards other things. OBX is cheap for a reason. I'd pay a little more for the better products

Shorter Shift doesn't = best. Do some searching and stop pulling folks threads off topic. Make your own thread.

Well, searching would own you on most of this too. But I'll go ahead and use JonGTR's post and add my comments.

It's crap. Look at the picture. Crap. It'll look like crap installed. Universal means it'll fit a 1972 Dodge Dart also.

Probably the only thing I MIGHT buy from them. But I still wouldn't, as their brand name sucks.

Save up a few more bucks and get the Samco Sport hose set. It's perfect, high quality, many more colors, and comes with 3 hoses.

Before you ask, SEARCH.

He's exactly right here. It's a gamble. One or 2 pulleys might fit, but they may not. Depends on your car's pulleys as they sit now. A search on this subject would show that.

I'm in the middle of doing a Short Shifter Showdown between all of the currently avaialble short shifters. So far, I've tested the B&M (SHIT, feels like driving a big rig), the RSide (Much better, but has some issues with RD2's and still is a tiny bit clunky), and the Megan (Best shifter yet in my opinion). The ARK Racing shifter will go in the car on Friday.

OBX's headers suck ass. Cheap, thin, and sound like ass.

I've got the Forza header from ebay, same as (?) OBX, no complaints after 1.5 years.

I like my OBX hoses too, they have a set specifically for '97-'01. I had to trim an inch off the upper hose, but otherwise they were a direct fit, no need to stretch or twist them. But you will need some good lined clamps for them. You can buy an elbow online for about $20-25 from several sites.

Does anyone with an adjustable cam actually adjust anything for NA?
